To learn more about our growing Intermediate 7-8 program visit the school websites or attend the In-Person Information Sessions which typically take place in February.  Dates and details will be shared here, on local media channels and from the individual schools.      

Which school do I attend?  School allocation is based on a child's place of residence.  Use the transportation tool to find out which school your child is zoned for.

Registration for the 2026–2027 school year will be open from approximately December 2025 to February 2026.

Korah strives to provide the best possible educational environment, one which enables the individual to realize intellectual and personal potential within an atmosphere of cooperation and respect.

Korah is dedicated to developing leadership opportunities for all students through the Duke of Edinburgh Program, Athletics, Social Justice initiatives, Environmental Initiatives including Green Council, and Leadership Councils. As well, Korah continues to develop a formal Leadership Strategy where students in all grade levels will be connected through peer coaching, mentoring, tutoring, student ambassador programs, leadership camps and teambuilding activities.

SUPERIOR HEIGHTS INTERMEDIATE

The Superior Heights Intermediate Program provides students with a gradual transition into secondary school.  Students experience a partial rotary timetable, which makes the transition to a secondary school routine easier.  Grade 7 and 8 students find themselves in a supervised, safe and somewhat more mature learning environment that includes specialty rooms, lockers, a cafeteria, athletics, extra-curricular clubs and laptop technology.

White Pines believes all children can succeed and there are multiple pathways to excellence.

The Grade 7 & 8 curriculum expectations remain the same in our 7/8 program. However, the curriculum can be taught differently because of the access to specialized facilities and subject-specific teachers who are able to teach in their areas of expertise. 

White Pines Intermediate staff and students partner with Secondary teachers in areas including: Theatre Arts, Business, English, Languages, Robotics, Sciences and Technological Education.

Grade 7 and 8 students at Elliot Lake Intermediate School engage in hands-on learning in a wing of the school dedicated to them.  The 7/8 Intermediate program provides access to modern facilities, unique programming and new technologies. Students in Grade 7 and 8 are encouraged to become active members of the school's Student's Council, giving them a voice in decisions that are made which affect the entire student body in Grades 7 to 12.

The intermediate program provides students with a gradual transition into secondary school. Grade 7 and 8 students find themselves in a more mature environment that provides specialized rooms, lockers, a cafeteria, athletics, intramurals, extra-curricular clubs and laptop technology.

CAIS students are able to take part in student and athletic council, yearbook and reach ahead experiences and all these opportunities help to prepare students for their future secondary and post-secondary education.
