e-Learning

Whether you want to get ahead or catch up, e-Learning high school courses are available this summer through the Algoma District School Board and the Northern e-Learning Consortium. A variety of grade 11 and 12 courses are available, and students have the flexibility to complete their course work online from anywhere. See your high school guidance counselor for a list of courses and for registration details. Register by June 21st, 2013 and begin your online summer school experience on July 2nd.

You can also access the tentative list of courses at the NeLC website.

e-Learning, taking courses over the Internet, is a great opportunity available to students in the Algoma District School Board. Courses are offered online to help give students more flexibility in the path they follow through high school, which leads to greater opportunities for success down the road.

e-Learning courses are much like face-to-face courses, except that the communication between students and the teacher happens in a secure online website. All of the courses offered to ADSB students are taught by certified Ontario teachers. Our online courses help students meet the same expectations as face-to-face courses, with the advantage of having flexibility for scheduling.

If you're interested in taking an e-Learning course, contact your Guidance or Student Services department at your school. Not attending school right now, or have other questions? Call or email Brandon Grasley, ADSB's e-Learning Contact at
