Parenting and Family Literacy Centres
The Algoma District School Board’s Parenting and Family Literacy Centres are bustling with activity. Our four centres offer moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, caregivers and children, ages newborn to six, the opportunity to explore, play and build a love of learning together. PFLCs provide
· Fun activities that include reading and counting, music and
story time
· Time to play in the art, sand, and water areas or with toys
and puzzles
· Snack time with healthy food
· Movement and physical activity in the school gymnasium
· Time for you and your child to read together
These drop-in programs are free, require no pre-registration, and are open every school day from 9-1. PFLCs are located at Etienne Brule Public School, River View Public School, Northern Heights Public School, and Pinewood Public School.
