Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members:

Bienvenue!  What an exciting year for the Boreal French Immersion Public School Community.  This year, students, families and staff will comprise the Boreal French Immersion Public School community and build our Bobcat Culture.  We look forward to working collaboratively with our school community to ensure a smooth transition for new students and their families and to build a culture of collaboration.

The notions of community and family are very highly valued at our school. Teachers and parents work together in all aspects of school life, with the best interests of children as our primary focus. We are dedicated to making our school a place where students achieve in an atmosphere that is safe, focuses on the development of their character, sets a high standard of academic achievement for all learners, and offers varied opportunities to developing all aspects of each student as a person.  Administrators, teachers, educationals assistants and all support staff are committed to meeting the needs of every child academically, physically, emotionally and socially. The old African proverb states that, “it takes a whole village to raise a  child" . . .our children are engaged, challenged, and supported in all aspects of their academic and social life.

Our focus on and commitment to Character Education is best summarized by our school motto, “Cultivating a Culture of Character.”  Character education has been an integral part of our continued growth and success.  Our purpose is to fertilize young minds so that they can blossom into successful students and citizens.  Our emphasis on high quality learning throughout the curriculum has supported this growth.  We are extremely proud of our school and have created a safe, positive, caring atmosphere that welcomes every child.  Within our positive and respectful school environment, our students have been able to develop strong literacy and numeracy skills in order to maximize their growth.  Certainement, “Il Faut Cultiver Notre Jardin!”

Our French Immersion Program begins in Grade 2 to Grade 8, and we look forward to welcoming our youngest learners in JK,SK and Grade 1 in the fall of 2018 at our revitalized site on Northern Avenue.
Venez nous voir!  Come to see us!

Yours in partnership,
