Student Broadband Community Network Pilot Approved for Algoma DSB students

The Algoma District School Board in partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Education and Government of Ontario is excited to announce a pilot project to bring internet connectivity to Algoma DSB students living in Echo Bay, St. Joe's Island, Desbarats, Bruce Mines, Thessalon and Goulais with low internet or no connectivity.

Your child/children are invited to participate and receive internet services at home for educational purposes – at no charge – throughout the duration of the pilot.

As a next step, we now need to seek confirmation and consent from each student's parent/guardian for their participation.

To consent to participating, or not participating, in the program and for the location of your home to be shared with the ministry for connectivity purposes, please visit our Student Broadband Community Network form and submit by Wednesday May 19, 2021.  Additional information can be found in online form’s Frequently Asked Questions section.
