ADSB students take part in Equity Leadership Training Program

 

Thirty-two Grade seven students from our Board attended a two-day Equity Leadership Training Program led by the Harmony Movement , an organization dedicated to promoting diversity and bringing awareness of discrimination. The Equity Leadership Training Program (ELTP) will assist ADSB students to gain a better understanding of their own and others’ prejudices and become leaders for social change. In support of the provincial government’s Realizing the Promise of Diversity: Ontario’s Equity and Inclusive Education Strategy, the Safe Schools Strategy and the Accepting Schools Act, this interactive program educates students about diversity and provides them with the tools to bring their learning back to their school communities.
