(November 2024) The Algoma District School Board (ADSB) is committed to providing the very best learning environments so that all students can achieve personal excellence. To do this, we must truly understand the needs of students. To help us in this work, we are inviting all students in grades 4 to 12 to participate in the ADSB Student Well-Being Survey. This is our Board’s version of the School Climate Survey that must be completed every 2 years.
During the month of November, students in grades 4 to 12 will be invited to complete the ADSB Student Well-Being Survey in class. The survey will take 20-30 minutes to complete, and will include questions that ask students about their experiences in and outside of school, in the areas of Safe and Accepting Schools, Equity and Inclusion, Healthy Schools and Mental Health.
There are two versions of the survey: grades 4-6 and grades 7-12. Samples of the grades 4-6 survey and grades 7-12 survey are attached to this email and will also be available on the ADSB website.
The ADSB Student Well-Being Survey is voluntary and confidential.
It is important that the ADSB Student Voice survey reflects the voices of all students—the more responses we receive, the more effective the data will be to help inform and improve programs and instruction.
Should you decide that you do not want your child to participate in the ADSB Student Well-Being Survey, please inform your school Principal by Friday, November 8, 2024.
Parents and guardians will be invited to provide feedback in a parent/guardian survey in January/February.   Student input for students in JK to grade 3 will be gathering in the parent/guardian survey.

We thank you for your continued support.
PLEASE NOTE: THE PDFs BELOW ARE SAMPLES OF THE SURVEYS THAT STUDENTS WILL BE RECEIVING IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS FROM THEIR TEACHERS.
