The Algoma District School Board (ADSB) is committed to providing the very best learning environments so that all students can achieve personal excellence. To do this, we must truly understand the needs of students. To help us in this work, every two (2) years, we invite all students in grades 4 to 12 to participate in the ADSB Student Well-Being Survey. This is our Board’s version of the School Climate Survey.
Students in grades 4 to 12 are invited to complete the ADSB Student Well-Being Survey in class. The survey takes 20-30 minutes to complete, and includes questions that ask students about their experiences in and outside of school, in the areas of Safe and Accepting Schools, Equity and Inclusion, Healthy Schools and Mental Health.
There are two versions of the survey: grades 4-6 and grades 7-12. The ADSB Student Well-Being Survey is voluntary and confidential.
It is important that the ADSB Student Voice survey reflects the voices of all students—the more responses we receive, the more effective the data will be to help inform and improve programs and instruction.
Parents/guardians have the option to indicate if they do not want their child to participate in the ADSB Student Well-Being Survey and can inform their school Principal.
Parents and guardians are also invited to provide feedback in a Parent/Guardian Survey typically in January/February. Student input for students in JK to grade 3 is gathered in the parent/guardian survey.
We thank you for your continued support.
