2026/2027 School Year Calendar Updates

At the February 24, 2026 Regular Board Meeting, Algoma District School Board approved our School Year Calendar for 2026-2027. ADSB adopts the calendar, consisting of a 194 day school year, following our consultation process. The calendar will be submitted to the Ministry of Education for final approval.

Over View of the 2026-2027 Algoma District School Board School Year Calendar

• ADSB school staff will begin on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

• ADSB students will begin classes on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

• Winter break is scheduled from Monday, December 21, 2026 to Friday, January 1, 2027.

• March Break is scheduled from Monday, March 15, to Friday, March 19, 2027.

• The last day of classes for staff and students will be Wednesday, June 30, 2027.

Examination Days for Secondary Schools

• January 25 to 29, 2027 (5 days)

• June 24 to 30, 2027 (5 days)
