The Algoma District School Board is committed to sustaining and enhancing learning and working environments that are safe and caring for all. We support the mental health of our children and youth through school-based resources and programs that are well coordinated and aligned within our system and with our community partners. We look to build capacity of all staff in their roles to increase skills, job satisfaction, leadership competencies and well-being.

In addition, we also provide two (2) Mental Health Workers in schools that specialize in supporting high school students with more complex mental health needs. We have also established great partnerships with our community mental health service providers and hospitals throughout the district to assist with additional support services.
